The essay briefly describes the Fintech phenomenon. More specifically, it analyses investment-based crowdfunding, lending-based crowdfunding and virtual currencies and the legislative solutions for these activities, in particular from the point of view of the prevention of the use of the financial system for the purposes of money laundering or terrorist financing.
