The purpose of the following discussion is threefold: toconsider whether or not rapid population growth is an impediment toeconomic development in Pakistan; to assess the impact of alternativechanges in population growth on the size and composition of nationaldevelopment plans; to consider means of manipulating population size andgrowth.
