Using survey data the impact of tractorization on wheatproductivity is examined in this paper. A comparative analysis of yielddata indicates that wheat yields on tractor farms are significantlyhigher than those on bullock farms. It is also found that tractor farmsuse higher amounts of chemical fertilizers on their wheat crop. Theresults of production function analysis also confirm the significantcontribution of tractorization in achieving higher wheatyields.
