El metanálisis es una técnica que permite obtener un resultado resumen a partir de varios estudios individuales. Para que sus conclusiones sean válidas, debe evitarse al máximo la existencia de un sesgo de publicación. Para finalizar, se describen el diagrama de efectos o forest plot, la forma más habitual de representar los resultados de un metanálisis. ABSTRACT Meta-analysis is a technique that allows obtaining a summary result from several individual studies. For their conclusions to be valid, the existence of a publication bias should be avoided to the maximum. Finally, the most common way to represent the results of a meta-analysis, the forest plot, is described.
