Distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic has several advantages and disadvantages. These constraints then become stressors that cause academic stress for students so that self-efficacy beliefs are needed in each individual to be able to face and resolve all these demands. This study aims to determine the effect of self-efficacy on student academic stress in distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted on 252 S1 Physical Education students of STKIP PGRI Jombang aged 18-21 years who were doing distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Data collection tools are in the form of Student-Life Stress Inventory and General Self-efficacy (GSE) adaptation questionnaires. Data analysis in this study used a simple linear regression test technique. The results of this study indicate that self-efficacy has an effect on academic stress in students (R = 0.169; p = 0.000). This indicates that self-efficacy has a significant influence on the academic stress of S1 Physical Education students at STKIP PGRI Jombang.
