. Business processes are an overview of every activity in an organization's information system. The activities of an organization can work well with the support of appropriate business processes. By modeling the system using business processes, the organization can know every process that is appropriate or not, so that improvements are needed. In the Industrial Engineering Study Program of Universitas Islam Bandung, Workflow modeling is still done using flowcharts, and requires workflows tailored to the needs of new online-based systems. Therefore, one solution in solving existing problems is to create a new business process design using Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN). BPMB is one of the methods in modeling a business process in an organization. The advantages of using BPMN are that it can describe the whole of each business process with the flow of information that will be conveyed between related parties.
Abstrak. Proses bisnis merupakan gambaran dari setiap aktivitas yang ada pada sistem informasi suatu organisasi. Aktivitas suatu organisasi dapat bekerja secara baik dengan adanya dukungan dari proses bisnis yang sesuai. Dengan pemodelan sistem menggunakan proses bisnis, maka organisasi tersebut dapat mengetahui setiap proses yang sudah sesuai atau belum, sehingga diperlukannya perbaikan. Pada Program Studi Teknik Industri Universitas Islam Bandung (Prodi TI Unisba), pemodelan alur kerja masih dilakukan menggunakan diagram alir, dan membutuhkan alur kerja yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan sistem baru berbasis online. Maka dari itu salah satu solusi dalam memecahkan permasalahan yang ada yaitu dengan membuat rancangan proses bisnis yang baru menggunakan Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN). BPMN yaitu salah satu metode dalam membuat pemodelan suatu proses bisnis dalam organisasi. Kelebihan dalam menggunakan BPMN yaitu dapat menggambarkan secara keseluruhan dari setiap proses bisnis dengan aliran informasi yang akan disampaikan antar pihak terkait.
