This article offers a review of significant regulatory and legislative developments in the petroleum industry. In addition to highlighting key decisions of the National Energy Board and the Alberta Energy decisions and Utilities Board, the authors review several Alberta Energy and Utilities Board, decisions pertaining to the energy sector that were made in other provincial jurisdictions. The article also summarizes important legislative changes from across the country and discusses the policy statements that have been made by key actors in the examine industry.
