Inflammation is an unspecific mechanism of the body in responding and defending against an aggression. The inflammatory processes in the knee have different particularities in athletes than in non-athletic persons. This aspect makes this paper interesting and challenging. After analyzing the results recorded during the rehabilitation stages, the conclusions of this study have confirmed the starting hypotheses. One of these conclusions is that an assessment as precise and complete as possible contributes to establishing an exact functional diagnosis, then to finding the most effective techniques and methods that would allow a fast rehabilitation.
