Today, ferrous metallurgy has a huge role in the development of many sectors of the economy, such as: energy, chemical industry, engineering, construction, and the production of weapons and military equipment. Thus, the state of the metallurgical industry determines the development of many industries and the world economy as a whole. The article presents the results of a study of the current state of the metallurgical industry, a description of the trends in the development of the global steel market and its participants.
