This article provides an economic analysis of the enterprises of the waste processing system in the Moscow region. The problems and strengths of each type of activity are identified on the basis of the largest enterprises in each sub-sector of waste processing. The analysis of economic indicators is based both on the study of industrial enterprises and on the basis of work experience at enterprises in the waste processing industry, which makes it possible to interpret financial and economic indicators in the most realistic way. As a result of the analysis, trends in the development of the waste processing industry were identified, which makes it possible to control and predict changes in the construction of a waste management system.
