The COVID-2019 pandemic acted as a catalyst for new challenges and changes in the financial system of all countries, including Russia. The digital progress of recent years has created significant potential for growth, which during the period of self-isolation and restrictions contributed to the expansion of the range of services provided remotely, which ensured a significant increase in the client base for those companies that were able to provide their services remotely, ensured their effective presence in the digital space and expanded the product range without additional costs. The article analyzes the prospects for development of financial ecosystems in the domestic market, as well as assesses the opportunities and threats of this process, taking into account the specifics of the formation of ecosystems, the core of which is mainly large financial organizations in our country.
