The article is devoted to the consideration of the current concept of "information sovereignty" and its relationship with state sovereignty. The analysis of the current state of information sovereignty in the Russian Federation is carried out, the main problems associated with its protection from encroachments from foreign states are highlighted and the ways of solving these problems are given.
