the article considers with the historical chronology of Russian political and legal doctrines from the position of establishing a legal balance. Starting from the XI century, political and legal doctrines that have had the most significant impact on the formation of the legal balance in Russian legislation are analyzed. General conclusions are drawn on the development of the concept of legal balance, starting from the era of early feudalism in the legislation of Russia
