In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the evaluating Member State (EMS), France, received from Dupont de Nemours and Syngenta Crop Protection AG an application to set import tolerances for the active substance cyantraniliprole in rice and coffee beans in order to accommodate the authorized uses in Brazil and Colombia on coffee and in China and Vietnam on rice. Import tolerance proposals of 0.05 mg/kg on coffee beans and of 0.01* mg/kg on rice were derived from the submitted residue trials. However, since the highest tolerance value established on coffee beans in the exporting countries is set at 0.03 mg/kg, EFSA proposes to maintain in the EU legislation the MRL value of 0.03 mg/kg reported under Regulation (EU) No 2015/845. No change is necessary for rice, as the MRL value is currently set at the default limit of quantification of 0.01 mg/kg.
