In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the evaluating Member State (EMS), Spain received an application from Cheminova A/S to set an import tolerance for the active substance flutriafol in strawberries from USA at the proposed level of 1.5 mg/kg. Spain drafted an evaluation report in accordance with Article 8 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, which was submitted to the European Commission and forwarded to EFSA. The intended use on strawberry is adequately supported by residue data and therefore, an import tolerance can be derived. Adequate analytical enforcement methods are available to control the residues of flutriafol in plant matrices and on the commodity under consideration. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concludes that the proposed use of flutriafol on strawberry will not result in a consumer exposure exceeding the toxicological reference values and therefore is unlikely to pose a consumer health risk.
