The safety of the product was previously established in chickens and turkeys for fattening, and for laying hens. In the view of the Panel the conclusions apply to those reared for laying/breeding and for breeding hens. Given the wide margin of safety established for the major poultry species, these conclusions can be extended to include all minor poultry species and ornamental birds. Efficacy previously established in chickens and turkeys for fattening applies to those reared for laying/breeding and the efficacy established for laying hens similarly applies to breeding hens at the corresponding authorised minimum doses. Since the mode of action of xylanases and beta‐glucanases can be reasonably assumed to be the same in all poultry species the conclusions on efficacy for major poultry species can be extrapolated to include all minor poultry species and ornamental birds at the following doses: 280 TXU and 125 TGU per kg feed for fattening birds and ornamental birds and 560 TXU and 250 TGU per kg for laying birds.
