This scientific opinion of EFSA deals with the risk assessment of the substance trimethyl trimellitate, CAS No. 2459‐10‐1, REF. No. 25885 for which the CEF Panel concluded that there is no safety concern for the consumer if the substance is used as a co‐monomer up to 0.35% w/w to produce modified polyesters intended to be used in contact with aqueous and dry foodstuffs containing no free fat at the surface.
