The present paper refers to the overview of Modern Greek most common divinatory practices intended to bring on a prophetic dream about the future spouse (St. Theodores kollyvo rites, salted-bread rite, “fastening the Fate” rite) along with the texts of the magic formulas and charms casted in the process of the former divinatory rites. Modern divinatory practices appear to have a tendency towards convergence, the texts of incantations follow the same trend and get interchangeable.
