In the presented work, the question of preparing a fully mixed diet with the help of feed mixers is considered. These machines can be classified according to the following characteristics: the method of movement, the type and method of movement of the working body, the placement of the distributor in relation to the feeders, etc. According to the method of movement, feed mixers can be divided into three types: trailed, self-propelled, stationary. The advantages of trailed feed mixers are the relative low price, the overall dimensions are suitable for both old and new type farms. Trailed mixers can optionally be equipped with units that increase the functionality of the machine: grab and milling self-loading devices, etc. In addition to equipping feed mixers with various feed loading units, magnetic catchers are increasingly being installed for the safety of animal health, which allow filtering metallic debris that has fallen during feed preparation, feed mixers are equipped with an electronic component weighing system controlled by an on-board computer, the accuracy of which varies within ± 2.0 %.
