The choice of the level of thermal protection of administrative agricultural buildings should be based on the economic indicators of these buildings, taking into account the costs of maintaining a given thermal microclimate of the premises. It is concluded that first it is necessary to determine the energy costs for heating, free and machine cooling of buildings of various sizes and number of storeys in areas with different duration of the heating period and the intensity of solar radiation.
