This paper discusses the difficulties related to the transmission of Russian ecclesionyms in texts translated into Polish. The author focuses on terminological issues, considering the special place of ecclesionyms and their connection with hagionyms and heortonyms. The author also cites selected divisions of ecclesionyms based on their structural and semantic properties, which might help in the selection of the most appropriate translation techniques. The examples analyzed in the article present different solutions, primarily from the point of view of teaching translation.
