The present essay is a personal, literary record of reading experience. The author does not pay much attention to the scholarly context of Schulz studies in favor of the emotional aura of his stories. In her opinion, the most important components of Schulz’s fiction are its epiphanic character, the need for togetherness, and openness to the Other.
