The industrial advance promoted greater contamination of the ecosystem due to the improper disposal of wastewater containing metals such as cadmium, lead and chromium ions. This study aims to evaluate the potential for bioremediation of the potentially toxic metals Cd2+, Pb2+ and Cr3+ using the biomass of the fungus – orelha-de-pau (Pycnoporus sanguineus) according to biosorbent the dosing studies, contact time and adsorption isotherms according to the Langmuir model. The results showed that the fungal biomass presented good performance to biosorption of the ions studied and adequacy for Langmuir isotherm suggested that the process occurs in monolayer.
