A Geodiversidade como subsídio a revisão de Planos Diretores (The Geodiversity as subsidy the review of Masters Plans)

Situado na zona costeira, Areia Branca (RN) possui inúmeras atividades e usos antrópicas, variando da pesca tradicional até a moderna exploração de petróleo, sal e energia eólica. Portanto, merece uma atenção especial referente ao seu planejamento e ordenamento territorial em virtude da dinâmica ambiental, sensibilidade e complexidade do uso e ocupação. O Município de Areia Branca já possui um plano diretor, contudo, após dez anos da concepção desse plano ele deve ser revisto. Fase imprescindível dessa revisão é a realização de um diagnóstico da situação atual e a utilização de índices ambientais nessa fase é importante. Portanto, o objetivo deste estudo é demostrar como os índices de geodiversidade múltipla e múltipla ponderada podem subsidiar a revisão de um plano diretor, utilizando, como exemplo, o município de Areia Branca/RN. Para alcançar esse objetivo foi utilizada a álgebra de mapas com os temas de geomorfologia, geologia, solos e vegetação. No produto resultante a Planície flúvio-marinha ficou na primeira e segunda posição nos rankings de geodiversidade múltipla e múltipla ponderada, respectivamente. Na geodiversidade múltipla ponderada a classe Praias ficou na primeira posição. No geral, Areia Branca não possui uma grande variabilidade de classes do ambiente físico, mas isso não significa que deva ser utilizada de forma desordenada. Portanto, explicitar a diversidade de ambientes, suas potencialidades e fragilidades são informações importantes para auxiliar na compreensão da região.    A B S T R A C T Situated in the coastal area, Areia Branca (RN) has numerous activities and human uses, varying from traditional fishing to the exploration modern of oil, salt and wind power. Therefore, deserve special attention regarding its territorial planning and organization in virtue of environmental dynamics, sensitivity and complexity of the use and occupation. The municipality of Areia Branca already has a master plan, however, after ten year of conception this plan should be reviewed. Essential phase of this review is to carry out a diagnosis of the current situation and the use of environmental indices at this stage is important. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to analyze how the indices of multiple and multiple weighted geodiversity can subsidy the revision of the one master plan, using, how example, the municipality of Areia Branca (RN). To achieve that goal was used to map algebra with the themes of geomorphology, geology, soils and vegetation. In the resulting product the fluvio-marine plain stayed in first and second position at rankings in terms of multiple and multiple weighted geodiversity, respectively. In the multiple weighted geodiversity the class beaches stayed in first place. Overall, Areia Branca does not have a great variability of the physical environmental, but that does not mean it should be used in disorderly form. Therefore, explicit the diversity of environments, their potentialities and weaknesses are important information to assist at understand of the region. Keywords: Index of geodiversity. Planning.
