Quality of life research is an emerging and rapidly developing health measurement technology. Quality of life assessment is performed using scales. Accurate quality of life assessment provides comprehensive information of patient which allows clinicians to put emphasis on overall quality of life (Total QOL) of patient. Quality of life scales have been applied for analysis of diseases such as leukemia and immune thrombocytopenia. This article reviews the use of commonly used quality of life scales for hematological diseases.
