The article analyzes the main directions in the study of spirituality in the basis of which lies as a certain fundamental, in the opinion of the authors, property, a quality of the individual, as the system of certain values and properties of a functional nature; an attempt to evaluate the degree of productivity of research results for the practice of spiritual education is made. Based on the results of the research, the author suggests a dynamic self-developing system of interrelated elements, founded on a certain mechanism of cathartic influence, the effect of which is revealed through an analysis of the prerequisites and factors of the emergence of spirituality. The special role of the sublime in the formation of the basic spiritual property – the category of holiness – is considered. Defined the the philosophy of education strategy – world-perception, as the source and basis of spiritual education.
