中英词汇中都有含隐喻义的特殊词汇折射出不同的文化意蕴。突出词语的隐喻义的教学可以增强学生学习英语的兴趣帮助学生更好地理解英语和运用英语。通过趣味翻译、趣味对话和趣味写作的训练在跨文化交际活动的模拟情境中教“隐喻”能够提高学生学习英语的兴趣让学生体察到中西文化的差异从而提高实际的跨文化交际的能力。
