The article reveals the essence of the problem of illegal entrepreneurship in Russia. The term entrepreneurship is inseparably associated with a number of essential features, without which it is impossible to imagine this type of activity. The presence of latent illegal entrepreneurship generates a number of negative consequences: it makes it much more difficult and even impossible to objectively assess the actual scale of illegal entrepreneurship, the development of legal acts that adequately affect the economic situation in this area.
