
Balancing and Cooperation: the Visegrad Group States and PRC in Realization of “17+1” Mechanism

The article presents the analysis of cooperation between the Visegrad Group countries and China. The authors came to the conclusion that the Visegrad Quartet – Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia – occupies an important place in the region and in the implementation of the Chinese Belt and Road initiative. The Visegrad states use the format for interaction with both Euro-Atlantic entities and the PRC, balancing and trying to get additional benefits from cooperation with centers of power in Europe, North America and Asia.
