KAJIAN MOTIF CERITA KEPAHLAWANAN MONAQ DAN DALUNG DAYAK BENUAQ, TUNJUNG, DAN RENTENUKNG

AbstrakPenelitian ini berusaha mengungkap  motif dalam cerita kepahlawanan Monaq dan Dalung Dayak Benuaq, Tonyooi, dan Rentenukng. Motif-motif tersebut diambil dari tiga versi cerita Monaq dan Dalung, yaitu versi Benuaq Sekolaq Darat, versi Benuaq Siluq Ngurai, dan versi Rentenukng Tunjung. Masalah penelitian ini adalah apa saja motif dalam cerita kepahlawanan Monaq dan Dalung dalam tiga versi dan bagaimana persebaran cerita di wilayah Kutai Barat? Untuk memecahkan masalah dan mencapai tujuan digunakan metode historis komparatis yang berasal dari mazhab Finlandia. Metode ini bekerja dengan mengumpulkan, mengolah, menganalisis, dan membandingkan beberapa versi cerita Monaq dan Dalung. Dengan menggunakan teori indeks motif Thompson, penelitian ini menganalisis kesamaan motif dan persebaran cerita. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat delapan motif dalam tiga versi cerita kepahlawanan Monaq dan Dalung. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ketiga versi cerita tersebut termasuk dalam cerita monogenesis, yaitu cerita yang berasal dari satu tempat. Kata kunci: motif, historis komparatif, versi, persebaran, monogenesis  AbstractThis study attempts to reveal the types and motives in the heroic story of Monaq and Dalung. The  motifs were taken from three versions of the Monaq and Dalung stories, namely the Benuaq Sekolaq Darat version, the Benuaq Siluq Ngurai version, and the Rentenukng Tunjung version. The  problem of this research is what are the motives in the heroic story of Monaq and Dalung in three versions? To  solve problems and achieve goals, historical comparative methods from the Finnish mazhab are used. This  method works by collecting, processing, analyzing, and comparing several versions of the Monaq and Dalung stories. By using Thompson's motive index theory, this study analyzes the similarity of motifs and the distribution of stories. The  results showed that there were eight motifs in three versions of the heroic story of Monaq and Dalung. From  the results of the study it can be concluded that the three versions of the story are included in the story of monogenesis, which is a story originating from one place. Keywords: motifs, historical comparative, version, distribution, monogenesis
