Summary. This review is concerned with improving of blood pressure (BP) control in patients with arterial hypertension(AH). The reasons for the low treatment compliance and combined antihypertensive therapy benefits areanalyzed. Data for futility of an extended use of antihypertensive drugs (AHD) fixed combinations are given. Studiesdemonstrating high efficacy and safety of a new triple fixed combination of amlodipine, valsartan and hydrochlorothiazide(HCT) are presented as well. Patients with hypertension, which should more actively use this combinationof drugs, are signified.
