The ultrasound examination in cystic diseases of the parenchymatous organs has a wide area of application, in order to correlate and to confirm the presence and to approach this type of focal lesions, especially in polycystic diseases (PKD). According to their characteristic size, type, number, localization and structure, the ultrasound examination of the kidney is very appropriate for the diagnosis of these cystic lesions in cats, also related to volume, echostructure and echogenicity changes during their chronic evolution. In this frame of clinical and paraclinical expression correlated with the ultrasound changes the diagnosis in PKD became obviously and easily confirmed.
