Статья посвящена творчеству дальневосточного художника бурятского происхождения Александра Васильевича Гунзенова. Он занимает особое место в художественной жизни Приморского края, развившись как художник вдалеке от родных мест, но сохранив черты самобытной национальной культуры в живописи и графике. Исследуются истоки специфической образности произведений художника, связь с буддистскими мотивами. The paper is devoted to the artwork of the Far Eastern artist of Buryat origin Alexander Vasilyevich Gunzenov. He occupies a special place in the artistic life of Primorsky region, having developed as an artist far from his native places, but retaining the features of the original national culture in painting and drawing. The author investigates the origins of the specific imagery of the artists works, the connection with Buddhist motifs.
