Виталий Куликов (1935–2015) был одним из крупнейших художников Украины второй половины XX – начала XXI века. В статье рассмотрены особенности его творческой манеры в трактовке формы и образов. Он выработал свой авторский стиль – соединение академического аналитического рисунка с кубизмом. Его характерная черта – выраженный «геометризм» форм. Образ женщины был центральной темой его творчества. В решении этой темы Куликов обращался к европейской традиции: библейским и греческим сюжетам. Vitaly Kulikov (1935–2015) was one of the famous Ukrainian artists of the second half of the XX – beginning of the XXI century. The article describes the particular qualities of his creative manner in the interpretation of forms and images. He created his own style, which might be defined as the fusion of academic analytic drawing with cubism. Its distinguishing feature is «geometrism». The image of a woman was the central theme of his work. In working on this theme, Kulikov appeals to the European tradition: biblical and Greek subjects.
