В статье дается обзор основных поступлений живописных произведений из частных коллекций с момента основания Академии художеств до 1917 года. Основной упор сделан на малоизвестных собраниях графов Г.В. Орлова, В.В. Мусина-Пушкина-Брюса, князя Е. Сапеги. The article provides an overview of the main income of paintings from private collections since the founding of the Academy of Arts until 1917. The main emphasis is on the little-known collections of Counts G. Orlov, V. Musin-Pushkin- Bruce, Prince E. Sapieha.
