From the hight of bird's flight. Works in gouache and many others by Eugenia Gamburd (1913–1956)

Статья посвящена малоизвестному искусству Евгении Гамбурд в области пейзажа. При недолгой жизни, в годы идеологического прессинга, была по достоинству оценена ее работа как мастера сценического костюма, но творчество тонкого пейзажиста жестко критиковалось партийными демагогами. Художница писала гуашью, преодолевая недостатки техники, умело оживляя колорит и фактуру. Об этом можно судить по московским пейзажам 1943-1944 годов и молдавским мотивам послевоенного десятилетия. Абстрактное понимание организации плоскости, независимо от размера листов бумаги или картона, способствует монументальной выразительности образов, а цветовой оркестровкой воссоздается атмосфера жизни, с характерными признаками исторического периода. The article is dedicated to the less known landscapes created by Eugenia Gamburd. During her life under the ideological pressing she has been appreciated as a good master of theatrical costume, but her creative activity as a delicate landscape painter has been criticized by the communist demagogues. She worked in gouache overcoming the deficit of technique, but skillfully trying to make alive coloring and texture. It becomes clear if to see the landscapes of 1943-1944, she has created in Moscow, or her Moldavian pictures of the postwar decade. An abstract interpretation in the arrangement of the plane, independently of paper’s or cartoon’s size, has favored the appearance of monumental expressivity of images, as well as the color orchestration has contributed to reconstruction of real atmosphere with characteristic signs of the historical epoch.
