THE WINDOW BLOCK FROM BOGOLYUBOVO

В статье публикуется белокаменный блок из церкви Рождества Богородицы в Боголюбове, найденный Н. Н. Ворониным во время раскопок 1930-х гг. и находящийся сейчас внутри здания в экспонированном раскопе. Профиль этого блока находит себе аналогии в профилях окон в апсидах церкви Покрова на Нерли. Эти профилировки восходят к обработке окон собора в Модене, построенного на рубеже XI–XII вв. архитектором Ланфранко и скульптором Вильгельмо в романском стиле. В результате атрибуции каменного блока как оконного и подбора аналогий становится ясно, что храм в Боголюбове имел окна, похожие на окна алтаря в церкви Покрова на Нерли, и что мастера, строившие оба памятника по заказу князя Андрея Боголюбского, происходили из итальянской области Эмилия. The paper publishes a white stone block from the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady discovered by N. N. Voronin during excavations in the 1930s. The block is now on display in an exhibition trench inside the building. There are analogies to this block profile among the profiles of the windows in the apses of the Church of the Intercession on the Nerl’. These profiles are modeled after window profiles of a cathedral built in Modenaat the turn of the 12th century by the architect Lanfranco and the sculptor Wiligelmo in the Romanesque style. The attribution of the stone block as a window unit and the selected analogies mean that the cathedral in Bogolyubovo had windows similar to the altar windows in the Church of the Intercession on the Nerl’ and that the masters who built both churches commissioned by the Prince Andrey of Bolgolyubovo came from the Emilia Province in Italy.
