This review presents several aspects of the utilization of carbon dioxide. In particular, it will consider the conditions for its correct utilization in order to reduce its emission into atmosphere and to size the demand of CO(2) that may be used within several different industrial sectors, spanning from fine chemicals to bulk chemicals, intermediates and fuels.
