The article provides an overview of costs associated with radioactive waste management operations in different countries in the following areas: treatment, containerization, storage, transportation, and disposal of radioactive waste. All data are brought to a comparable form using various economic and mathematical methods in order to make a correct comparative analysis. In conclusion, the results of cost comparison across countries are presented, the possible reasons for their deviations are discussed.
