The article highlights the activities of the Russian State Library (RSL) in the status of Depository Library (DL) of the United Nations (UN), analyzes the features of formation and use of the Depository Collection of the United Nations in the Russian State Library; there are considered the new strategic approaches to the functioning of DL in the digital environment and the project of creation of electronic collection for DL.
