On the regional and rural libraries of the Mari Village in 1966 - 1975. The organization of All-Union competition, the library activities of Krasnooktyabrskiy and Novotoryalskiy regions are described. Special attention is paid to the development of book trade and the activities of consumer cooperatives in rural areas.
