The article analyzes current classifications of topical glucocorticosteroid drugs. It also describes advantages and disadvantages of current classifications, emphasizes the expediency of assessing not only the efficacy of the active ingredient but also its skin concentrationtaking into consideration the base, trade name of the drug and particular features of its biotransformation in the skin.
