Current approach to improving balanoposthitis therapy

Widespread occurrence of balanoposthitis results in the need to develop highly efficient treatment methods. The activity of clinicalmanifestations of the disease is directly related to the condition of local immunity and opportunistic flora as well as presence of a viral infection. Application of the Epigen Intim spray having anti-inflammatory, wound-healing, antiviral and immunomodulatoryproperties for treatment of irritant balanoposthitis proved to be efficient in 90% of the study subjects. The drug therapy reducedthe duration of disease manifestations and increased the remission term. The suggested treatment method optimizes treatmentof balanoposthitis.
