A study of different types of skin sensitivity in patients with keloid and hypertrophic scar tissues was conducted in orderto optimize clinical diagnostics of scar hypertrophy of the skin. A symmetrical area of unaffected skin was examined ascontrol. The revealed results suggest a sharp increase of deep skin sensitivity with simultaneous reduction of other typesof sensitivity, which was observed in 97% of subjects, as a new differential sign of keloid scar tissues.
