In this study, we attempted to predict tropical depression in the Bien Dong Sea for three days using the WRF-NMM model with the Betts-Miller-Janjic convection scheme, two nested mesh with resolution15 km and 5 km. The data is taken from the global CFS model as initial conditions and boundary conditions. The results show that the model predicts the formation of tropical depression in the Bien Dong Sea. The forecasting time is 6 to 12 hours earlier than the actual time. Position of misconfiguration is from 100 to 300 km. The results of this study can help forecasters have more information for forecasting tropical low pressure formation in the South China Sea. keyword: Forecasting the formation, tropical cyclone
