Se analiza la información disponible sobre las Instituciones de Educación Superior (IES) y las clasificaciones que se han propuesto para su análisis. Se describe una propuesta que permite la agrupación dinámica de las IES aprovechando la disponibilidad en bases de datos de la Estadística 911 sobre la educación superior. AbstractThis article discusses the available information on higher education institutions and the classifications that have been proposed for their analysis. A proposal that allows the dynamic grouping of the higher education institutions making the most of the availability of the Statistics 911 data bases on higher education is also described.
