Acute abdominal pain in pregnancy is a common presenting symptom in the emergency setting, often requiring a quick imaging diagnosis to exclude etiologies associated with high maternal and fetal morbidity/mortality and guide proper patient management. Although US is the first-line imaging modality, many of the common causes of acute abdominal pain in pregnancy are not readily diagnosed sonographically.
