The paper considers the most important information technologies for production, as well as the main functions of the CCI. The authors compared the development paths of some CAD programs, their capabilities in combination with the engineering data support system and as part of 3D platforms. Given the characteristics of TPP in shipbuilding, as well as a trend towards the introduction and development of flexible manufacturing systems, the basic tasks that the design must ensure.
