The article introduces the concept of a pedagogically comfortable environment as a factor and a set of favorable conditions and opportunities created for introducing older preschool children to sports activities in a children's sports complex, describes the content and functions of a pedagogically comfortable environment that encourages motor independence, promotes interest in sports activities, and orients children to a sports lifestyle; providing openness and attractiveness for children and their parents (legal representatives), guaranteeing emotional well-being, comfort in interaction between a child-teacher-coach; preserving and maintaining a positive mood of children. The problem of this research is related to the search for ways and means of involving children of senior preschool age in sports activities and determining the pedagogical functionality of a pedagogically comfortable environment.
