The purpose of the article is to indicate the trends and conditions in the tourism developmentin the city and the administrative district as the potential tourist product. The most importantaspects of the subject of the research were discussed in the study: natural and non-natural (anthropogenic) tourists values. The infrastructure and tourist services were also emphasized,because they are playing a signicant role in tourist development of the discussed area. An administrative district was characterized in terms of the culture, the international cooperationand the economy. An issue of the availability of administrative district for the tourists waspresented by the description of tourist routes. An attempt to present the directions of the development for the administrative district was made – the primary and secondary tourist productstypical for the region were indicated.
